Fabric-To-Frame Adhesive

Liquid Tape firmly bonds any screen fabric to primed wood and metal frames in only five minutes. Screens will not lose tension due to slippage after the adhesive has dried. Liquid Tape performs an integral part in the Chemlite/Stretch-Air Bar screen making process.

Instructions for Use

Note: Wood and metal frames must be primed prior to adhering mesh to the frame.

Wood Frame Priming:

1. Apply a thin coating of Liquid Tape to the bonding surface of the frame.
2. Allow Liquid Tape to dry overnight before attempting to bond mesh to the frame.

Metal Frames Priming:

1. First roughen the bonding surface with coarse sandpaper or a wire brush (Chemlite frames are pre-roughened).
2. Apply a layer of Liquid Tape to the surface.
3. Allow to dry thoroughly prior to bonding mesh to the frame.

Replacing Mesh on a Frame:

1. Cut the mesh from the interior of the screen, making sure that the bonding surface is free of oily ink or solvent residue.
2. Re-bond directly over the previous mesh application.
3. Multiple layers may be built-up before the frame requires stripping of the residual mesh and adhesive.

Screen Sealant

When applied to the screen's inside edge with a squeeze bottle, Liquid Tape serves as an excellent screen sealant. Once it dries, it prevents the ink from seeping between the fabric and frame, thus, eliminating the need for interior taping to extend the life of the screen.

Liquid Tape can also be used to prolong the life of wood frames. Coat the wood frame with Liquid Tape to protect it from water and solvent damage, thus, preventing warpage and simplifying clean-up.

Stencil Blockout

Apply Liquid Tape into the non-image area of the screen to act as a permanent blockout. Liquid Tape will remain intact during screen reclaiming and reprocessing so blocking is eliminated for the life of the screen.

Preparation of B-535

B-535 Liquid Tape must be initiated with C-536 Catalyst prior to use. Thoroughly mix 2-ounces of C-536 per quart of B-535; or 8-ounces of Catalyst per gallon of B-535. After mixing, keep the solution stored airtight and cool to prevent gelation. Catalyzed Liquid Tape can be stored for approximately two weeks.

Handling

All personnel mixing and handling these products must wear gloves and eye protection. Clean up all spills immediately. If ink does come in contact with skin, wipe ink off with a clean, dry cloth (do not use solvent or flush solution). Wash the affected area with soap and water.
