Description

W510 Series Water Based Flexo Inks have been formulated to meet the needs of SHRINK SLEEVE and LAMINATION applications.

With superb press stability, high run speeds, and excellent color strength this ink system is sure to meet the needs of today's flexographic printers.

W510 Series Water Based Flexo Inks perform well in both inline and offline lamination applications with various adhesive chemistries.

W510 Series Water Based Flexo Inks can also be used for "Reverse Print" Shrink Sleeves when combined with our high slip opaque white inks.

APPLICATION AND USE

Substrates

PVC and PET

Note: As with all film substrates, lots may vary and testing is recommended before use.

Anilox Rolls

For standard colors use an anilox with a cell volume of

3.0 bcm - 5.0 BCM.

For process colors use an anilox with a cell volume of

1.0 - 2.0 BCM.

Viscosity

On average 14-25 sec., #3 Zahn @ 77°F

pH Range

9.0 - 10.0

Plates

This ink Series is compatible with most water based flexo plates on the market.

Printing

This ink series is formulated to be press ready. Thoroughly mix the ink prior to printing. The pH and viscosity of the ink should be maintained during printing with the use of additives to adjust pH and viscosity. See the additive guide.

Use NWC10 EZ Cleaner

Storage

Store tightly covered at temperatures between 65°- 90°F (18°-32°C). Ink taken from the press should not be returned to the original container; store separately to avoid contaminating unused ink.

Ink Handling

Safety glasses and gloves are suggested in areas where product may be splashed. If product does come in contact with skin, wipe ink off with a clean, dry cloth (do not use solvent or reducer). Wash the affected area with soap and water. Consult the Ink Series Safety Data Sheet for further instructions and warnings.

Performance Verification

After press/job set up is complete, inspect a portion of the printed web for all applicable and specified properties. These properties include but are not limited to cure, adhesion, mar and rub resistance, product resistance and gloss. These tests should be performed prior to beginning the full production run.

Fade Resistance

This ink series is designed for interior applications only. The colors designated with (FR) are formulated with pigments which have extended fade resistance.

PRODUCT OFFERING

Process Colors

Standard process colors are formulated to print using 1.0 - 2.0 BCM aniloxes.

Base Colors

Standard base colors are designed to be high strength, and formulated to print using anilox volume of 2.5 - 3.5 BCM. The colors can be mixed together to achieve an unlimited number of strong vibrant colors.
