Nazdar 7020 Adhesion Promoter

LWU7020NC Adhesion Promotion has been specially formulated as a primer to improve adhesion of Nazdar UV curable digital inks to substrates such as polypropylene and acrylic. This product is for use by customers requiring die and router cut chip resistance or improved tape pull resistance.

Primary Features & Substrates

Substrates

  • Acrylics
  • Fluted/corrugated polypropylene with a surface tension at or above 44 dynes/cm

Application & Usage

Application

LWU7020NC Primer was designed to be used as a wipe on primer. Shake container to mix contents prior to application. Dip a clean, lint free, dry towel into a container of LWU7020NC and wipe onto the substrate to be printed. Cover the entire substrate with primer making sure to get a uniform deposit across the substrate.

Processing

  • Allow the primer to dry thoroughly. (Approx. 10 minutes depending on humidity levels).
  • Print the newly primed surface as soon as possible. The primed surface may be printable for up to 24 hours after application of the primer, possibly less in very humid environments.
  • UV curable inks should be printed onto the thoroughly dried primer.
  • For best adhesion, allow the printed surface to post-cure for 24 hours at room temperature.

Storage/Shelf Life

Store ink and flush solutions at 18° - 32° C (65° - 90° F). Ink and flush solutions should always be kept away from heat, sparks, and flames. If stored at a different temperature, the ink should be allowed to reach room temperature before calibration or printing. The shelf life of this product is 6 months from the date of manufacture when stored under prescribed conditions.

Nazdar 7025 Glass Primer

LWU7025 UV Glass Primer has been specially formulated as a wipe-on primer to improve adhesion of Nazdar UV curable digital inks to glass and enamel coated aluminum composite panels (Dibond).

Primary Features & Substrates

Substrates

  • Glass
  • Dibond (and other composite enameled aluminum panels)

Application & Usage

Application

LWU7025 Glass Primer was designed to be used as a wipe on primer. Apply some LWU7025 to a lint free, dry cloth and wipe onto the substrate to be printed. Cover the entire substrate with primer making sure to get a very thin, uniform deposit across the substrate.

Processing

  • Allow the primer to dry thoroughly before printing with UV inkjet inks. (Approx. 10 minutes depending on humidity levels).
  • Print the newly primed surface as soon as possible. The primed surface may be printable for up to 24 hours after application of the primer, possibly less in very humid environments.
  • Apply to the non-tin side of float glass.
  • Adhesion can be further improved by baking the newly primed glass surface for 10 minutes at 110° C (230° F).
  • For best adhesion, allow the printed surface to post-cure for 24 hours at room temperature.

Storage/Shelf Life

Store primer at 18° - 32° C (65° - 90° F). Primers should always be kept away from heat, sparks, and flames. The shelf life of this product is 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored under prescribed conditions. If the primer has been exposed to excessive heat and has become cloudy in the bottle, discontinue use and replace the primer with fresh product.

Environmental Operating Parameters

Temperature:
