technical data sheet NAZDAR 8700 Series UV LED Rotary Screen Ink8700 Series UV LED (Light Emitting Diode) Rotary Screen Ink is formulated specifically for roll label applications. The 8700 Series exhibits exceptional print characteristics such as adhesion to a wide range of substrates, high gloss, abrasion resistance and excellent chemical resist. These inks were formulated for use with UV LED curing lamps of at least 8W/cm2, which have an output wavelength of 395nm. |

APPLICATION AND USESubstratesPressure sensitive vinyl, coated paper and board, top coated and print treated polyester, BOPP films, polyethylene and polystyrene. Mesh SelectionRotary Screen: Use rotary screens which will deposit 5 to 15 microns of ink film thickness. Flat Screens: Use 305 - 420 tpi (120-165 tpcm) monofilament polyester mesh. LED Cure Parameters8700 Series ink cures up to 300 fpm (90m/min) when exposed to a 16W/cm2 UV LED curing lamp, with an output wavelength of 395nm. AdditivesAll additives should be thoroughly mixed into the ink before each use. Prior to production, test any additive adjustment to the ink. Clean UpUse NWC10 EZ Cleaner. Storage and HandlingThe 8700 Series ink is formulated to be press ready. Thoroughly mix the ink prior to printing. Maintain ink temperature at 65°-90°F (18°-32°C) for optimum print and cure performance. Keep away from heat, flame and direct light sources. Otherwise, premature cure or gel could occur. Proper personal protection equipment and adequate ventilation are required when handling this material. Please consult the Safety Data Sheet for details on proper handling of this material. Ink taken from the press should not be returned to the original container; store separately to avoid contaminating unused ink. |
Performance VerificationAfter press/job set up is complete, inspect a portion of the printed web for all applicable and specified properties. These properties include but are not limited to cure, adhesion, mar and rub resistance, product resistance, gloss, and coefficient of friction. These tests should be performed prior to beginning the full production run. PRODUCT OFFERINGStandard Printing ColorsThe 8700 series Base Colors have excellent opacity, flow characteristics, and are press ready. The 8700 base colors and 8776 UV LED No-Sil White are designed to be overprinted by other printing technologies such as 6800 Series UV LED Flexo Ink, (see 6800 Series technical data sheet for more information). The 8700 Series standard printing colors can be used in matches to achieve Pantone® color simulations. These blend formulations are available at www.nazdar.com. Packaging Per Container
