MIGRATON TESTING92NCF Series UV Flexo Shrink Sleeve Ink is formulated with low migration materials recommended by Nestle'. The final converter should determine suitability of the end application by appropriate migration testing. Although the 92NCF Series UV Flexo Shrink Sleeve Ink is formulated to comply with Nestle' listed materials, all possible sources of migration and contamination should be evaluated for compliance. These include but are not limited to: press wash, ink, substrate, storage and proper cure. APPLICATION AND USESubstratesPVC, PETG, PLA and Polystyrene. (Orientation of the material can be MDO or TDO); also BOPP films, polyethylene, coated paper and board. Corona treatment may be necessary for some applications. Anilox Rolls300-1200 line (cells per inch) corresponding to a volume from 7.5 to 0.8 bcm. Plates92NCF Series UV Flexo Shrink Sleeve Ink is compatible with most UV Flexo plates on the market. Printing92NCF Series UV Flexo Shrink Sleeve Ink is formulated to be press ready. 92NCF Series UV Flexo Shrink Sleeve Ink is also suitable for surface printing. 92NCF Series UV Flexo Shrink Sleeve Ink can be affected by stray UV light in and around a printing facility. Be aware of skylights, windows and overhead lights curing the ink. Light filters are recommended. Keep ink containers covered when not in use.
Cure Parameters92NCF Series UV Flexo Shrink Sleeve Ink cures when exposed to a medium pressure mercury vapor lamp set at 300 - 600 watts per inch. Thorough cure is critical to low odor and low migration. |
These guidelines are intended only as a starting point for determining cure parameters, which must be determined under actual production conditions. AdditivesAll additives should be thoroughly mixed into the ink before each use. Prior to production, test any additive adjustment to the ink. Only Nestle' compliant additives should be used. Clean UpFor general clean up use NWC10 EZ Cleaner. To meet Nestle' specifications only low odor and non-migratory approved cleaning solvents from the Nestle' list should be used. Fade Resistance92NCF Series UV Flexo Shrink Sleeve Ink are designed for interior applications only. The colors designated with (FR) use pigments which have extended fade resistance. Storage and Handling92NCF Series UV Flexo Shrink Sleeve Ink is formulated to be press ready. Thoroughly mix the ink prior to printing. Maintain ink temperature at 65°-90°F (18°-32°C) for optimum print and cure performance. To prevent premature cure or gelling, keep away from heat, flame and direct light sources. Proper personal protection equipment is required when handling this material. Please consult the Safety Data Sheet for details on proper handling of this material. Ink taken from the press should not be returned to the original container; store separately to avoid contaminating unused ink. 92NCF Series UV Flexo Shrink Sleeve Ink is a one-part, 100% solids UV-curable Flexo printing ink and does not contain HDODA or Benzophenone. Performance VerificationAfter press/job set up is complete, inspect a portion of the printed web for all applicable and specified properties. These properties include but are not limited to: cure, adhesion, mar and rub resistance, product resistance, gloss, and coefficient of friction. These tests should be performed prior to beginning the full production run. |

Standard Printing White92NCF01 NC UV Flxo Opq Shrnk Wht 1P White and 6003008092 NC UV Flxo Opq Shrnk Wht 4P are press ready and have excellent opacity, flow and adhesion characteristics. These whites are NOT designed to mix with any other 92NCF Base Colors. Process ColorsStandard process colors are formulated to print using up to 1200 line (0.8 bcm) anilox.
