Description

The W300 Series Water-Base Film Ink is specifically formulated to meet the demands of today's Narrow Web Label converters. The W300 Series Water-Base Film Ink features:

Substrates

Pressure sensitive vinyl, top coated and print treated polyester, BOPP films, coated paper and board.

Note: As with all film substrates, lots may vary and testing is recommended before use.

On average 10-30 sec., #3 Zahn @ 77ºF

pH Range

9.0 - 10.0

Plates

This ink Series is compatible with most WB Flexo plates on the market.

Printing

This ink series is formulated to be press ready. Thoroughly mix the ink prior to printing. The pH and viscosity of the ink should be maintained during printing with the use of additives to adjust pH and viscosity, See the additive guide.

Clean Up

Use NWC10 EZ Cleaner.

Storage

Store tightly covered at temperatures between 65°-90°F (18°-32°C). Ink taken from the press should not be returned to the original container; store separately to avoid contaminating unused ink.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Ink Handling

Safety glasses and gloves are suggested in areas where product may be splashed. If product does come in contact with skin, wipe ink off with a clean, dry cloth (do not use solvent or reducer). Wash the affected area with soap and water. Consult the W300 Series Safety Data Sheet for further instructions and warnings

Performance Verification

After press/job set up is complete, inspect a portion of the printed web for all applicable and specified properties. These properties include but are not limited to cure, adhesion, mar and rub resistance, product resistance and gloss. These tests should be performed prior to beginning the full production run.

Fade Resistance

This ink series is designed for interior applications only. The colors designated with (FR) use pigments which have extended fade resistance.

PRODUCT OFFERING

Process Colors

Process colors are formulated to print using an anilox volume of 1.0 - 2.0 BCM.

Base Colors

Base colors are designed to print using anilox volume of 3.0 - 4.0 BCM. Base colors can be mixed together to achieve an unlimited number of strong vibrant colors.
