The Nazdar story begins in the back of a small store in Chicago. The company is first known as "Naz-Dar."

1922

More Demand, More Inks

Historical Ink Manufacturing

Naz-Dar focuses on developing new inks to meet the increasingly sophisticated demands of screen printers.

1930's-50's

Research & Development Created

Plastics industry growth leads to expanded use of screen printing.

R&D Established

Naz-Dar establishes extensive R&D programs to create higher performance screen printing.

1950's-1960's

Distribution Established

Worldwide Distribution

Relationships that become Naz-Dar's core distribution network are established. Naz-Dar is now able to serve Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, Asia, and Australia.

1960's-70's

KC Coatings Acquisition

Ink Technology

Naz-Dar acquires KC Coatings, combining the industry's most popular ink lines, most extensive distribution, and most advanced R&D capabilities under one name.

1982

Naz-Dar Becomes Nazdar

Naz-Dar to Nazdar

Naz-Dar acquires the ink and supplies division of Advance Process Supply Company, and simplifies its identity to "Nazdar."

1993

Moving into Digital Print

Digital Printing

Nazdar establishes Nazdar Digital, anticipating the acceptance of digital technology in the printing market.

1995

Intensifying Inkjet Research

Ink Evaluations

Nazdar acquires Ink Dezyne, a Canadian company, and intensifies the development of digital inks for large format printers.

1997

NDI Inkjet Series Enters the Market

CMYK printing

Nazdar's work in the digital ink market culminates in the release of the highly successful NDI Digital Ink Series; these solvent-based inks are quickly accepted in North American markets as the high performance, reliable alternative to costly OEM inks.

1998

Lyson Inks Acquisition,
Narrow Web Market Entrance

Nazdar acquires the business and assets of Lyson, a well-established and highly innovative manufacturer of inkjet inks.

NDI and Lyson ink ranges are integrated into single product range under the Lyson brand, resulting in the largest portfolio of high performance inkjet inks in the global market.

Narrow Web Printing

Nazdar also enters the Narrow Web Ink market, offering a full range of UV and Water-based technology.

2006

Coding & Marking

Easterday Inks

Nazdar acquires Easterday Inks, a leading producer of proprietary ink solutions for coding and marking applications.
