NAZDAR INK SHELF STABILITY

Determining Ink Manufacturing & Expiration Dates

The Shelf Stability of Nazdar product can be determined by the following methods:

  1. Certain Nazdar products include an expiration date on the product's label. Use this reference rather than the lot number.
  2. If expiration date is not included, refer to the Technical Data Sheet. The shelf life listed on the technical data sheet pertains to the standard ink items listed. For shelf life on special inks and additives, contact Nazdar Customer Service or Nazdar Technical Service
    • 10 digit lot number:
      • The year of manufacture is the 1st and 2nd digits
      • The month of manufacture is the 3rd and 4th digits
      • Example: Lot #1610211234: 16 = 2016, 10 = October | Manufactured in October 2016
    • 8 digit lot number:
      • The year of manufacture is the 2nd digit + 10
      • The month of manufacture is the 3rd and 4th digits
      • Example: Lot #64074895: 4 = 2014, 07 = July | Manufactured in July 2014

NOTE: Proper storage is key to achieving maximum shelf stability. Shelf stability refers to unopened containers stored in temperatures not to exceed 78° F (25 ° C). Specials in any Nazdar ink series may have a shorter shelf life than standard products. Please refer to your product's Technical Data Sheet for complete information.
